Subject: Hard Work: Mike Feder's 'Year in Review' at BAI

Warning: This show's content may be startling or offensive to some.

Mike Feder lambasts Utrice Leid's "grand theft radio" crime one year later, from an insider's perspective. Mike gives instruction on the meaning of WBAI - what these airwaves mean to the American people - especially in times of crisis.

He gives an acccounting of how WBAI has been destroyed since it fell into the hands of "dictators and thugs" one year ago. "WBAI has suffered a tremendous shock to the system", he says, and "We lost 40 % of our listenership in the last year, and 1/3 to 1/2 of our revenue."

He tells how current station manager Robert Daughtry met with him to tell him exactly what he could and could not say on the air, saying that he does not like free-form radio, and expressing contempt for Mike's listeners.

Mike has the last word: as long he is on the air, nobody will tell him what to say.Warning: This show's content may be startling or offensive to some.

[ editor's note: I've never heard anything quite like it. Truth writ large. ]
